Biography
Sarah McVittie founded Texperts with Thomas Roberts way back in 2003. She studied Economics and Chinese at Edinburgh University and then took a year out to complete one of her many dream trips. She pioneered the Silk and Steel Motorbike and Sidecar expedition from London to Beijing, where 6 intrepid travellers crossed the oldest Silk Road on classic (and slightly unreliable) Russian Urals. Thomas and Sarah then met on the graduate training programme at UBS and the rest, as they say, is history!
Sarah has been described as “the one-woman-whirlwind” and has on occasion been known to make Duracell bunnies look tired. As CEO she spends her time raising money, liaising with shareholders, and exploring new business opportunities. The rest of Texperts’ maverick crew have noticed that she has a slightly worrying love of Micorsoft Excel.
Sarah is a keen runner (completing her first marathon last year), windsurfer, and surfer, and, to Rhod’s glee, she currently holds the second-highest Tetris Ultra score in the office. She is passionate about motorbikes, and currently rides a Suzuki SV650S but is about to upgrade - watch this space.
